Donald Trump’s presidency could be a big problem for Japan, analysts argue.Trump, who will assume office on Jan. 20, has made it abundantly clear that he likes tariffs. He has promised 10% to 20% duties on all goods coming into the United States, and 60% on Chinese imports.Naoko Funatsu, a research fellow at The Japan Institute of International Affairs, said a trade policy that imposes high tariffs will be a blow to Japan’s auto industry.
