Gavi made his Barcelona debut under Ronald Koeman in August 2021 at the age of 17 and has gone on to make 131 appearances for the club, scoring nine goals and providing 17 assists.

He has won three trophies with Barcelona, including the league title in 2023. The midfielder has also scored five goals in 27 appearances for Spain after making his senior international debut in October 2021.

In October, Gavi made his first appearance in 11 months after returning from an anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained in November 2023. The injury resulted in him missing Spain’s victorious Euro 2024 campaign.

Gavi has made 20 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing three assists.

Barcelona are third in La Liga, seven points league leaders Real Madrid. They are next in action against Deportivo Alaves on Saturday.
