Nicki Minaj Really Didn’t Like That Grammys Joke

Over the past few months, Nicki Minaj has been busy ingratiating herself with the pro-Trump set — so busy, in fact, that while her fellow musicians gathered at the Grammys on Sunday night, she was nowhere to be seen. Instead, she spent the weekend at Mar-a-Lago where she and her husband, Kenneth Petty, celebrated the union of Trump adviser Alex Bruesewitz and former Miss Nevada USA Carolina Urrea. Luckily for the audience at the Grammys, host Trevor Noah took notice, serving up a barb for Barb in one of his monologues.

“Nicki Minaj is not here. She’s still at the White House with Donald Trump discussing very important issues,” Noah said to loud cheers from the audience before switching into his Trump impersonation. “Actually, Nicki, I have the biggest ass! Everybody’s saying it. I know they say it’s you, but it’s me.”

Naturally, none of this went over well with Minaj, who spent a lot of Sunday evening melting down over the joke on X. “Trevor refuses to come out the closet when everyone in the industry knows his boyfriend … Allegedly,” she wrote in one post. In another she invoked Jesus, writing (seemingly about everyone at the Grammys), “As they do their ritual tonight, God almighty will reveal himself to them. The ritual will backfire on them. God will not be mocked. Blessed is the MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST. Every tongue that rises up against me in judgement shall be condemned & put to shame. Watch 🪄✨”

Noted. Just like his new bestie, President Trump is also mad about Noah’s Grammys bits — he accused the event of being “the WORST, virtually unwatchable,” after Noah cracked a joke about Trump and Epstein Island. Sounds like a bitch sesh is in order.
